DEFINITION

SCIENCE
The peel is a synergistic blend of:
- Salicylic acid – Antibacterial, reducing oil production

AFTERCARE

What is the ZO Stimulator Peel?

The ZO Stimulator Peel can be categorised as a superficial peel, which means that it will only focus on the gentle exfoliation of the top layer of skin, otherwise known as the epidermis. When applied, this milder form of peel works to treat a number of common skin complaints such as acne, pigmentation and age spots and is unrivalled in its ability to strip away dead skin cells, stimulate cell turnover and leave patients with a healthy glow – perfect for the red carpet or that big night out!
How does it work?
The ZO Stimulator Peel is made up of a combination of acids that can have many positive effects on the condition of the skin. These powerful ingredients are capable of brightening the appearance and clearing away the unwanted debris that accumulates on the skin over time, setting the stage for a complexion that radiates confidence and one completely unmatched in its smoothness. In terms of your treatment, we will ensure that your face is thoroughly cleansed before we apply this peel to your skin. This peel will be left in place for up to four minutes before a neutralising solution is used to balance your skin’s pH level and a selection of products applied to ensure that your skin remains fully hydrated and protected following your treatment.
Is it painful?
Superficial peels such as the ZO Stimulator are not usually painful. Some patients report a slight tingling sensation when the peel solution is applied but this normally subsides after a few moments.
How long does this treatment take?
From start to finish, this treatment takes 45-60 minutes.
Will I see results straight away?
In most instances, your results should be instantly visible and your skin will appear noticeably brighter, fresher and rejuvenated. PRE-TREATMENT ADVICE FOR THE ZO PEEL:
Prepare skin with your practitioner recommended skincare regimen. Avoid waxing, laser, sun and sun-beds for 48 hours prior to your treatment, and also following this procedure, until skin has normalised.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT:
It is likely you will feel a tingling sensation while the mild peel is in contact with the skin.
